Supported builders
Any of these builders can send mail if a server route holds the API key. Lovable, Bolt, and Replit have places to put secrets. Do not prefix the key so the client framework inlines it.
What it is
Resend sends email over an API or SMTP. The pricing page separates transactional email (the /emails API) from marketing broadcasts (contacts). Free transactional includes 3,000 emails a month with a 100-per-day cap. Pro starts at $20 a month for 50,000.
AI-built apps usually need Resend for password resets and receipts. The API key is a secret. Calling Resend from the browser with that key will be abused. Send from a server route, and authenticate your domain with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC or the mail lands in spam.
Best for: Password resets, receipts, and other one-to-one mail from a server you control.
Watch-outs
- The API key in frontend code will be stolen and used to send mail as you.
