Supported builders
This is the builder. Bolt Cloud may already include pieces other directory entries also cover. Do not add a second database without noticing.
What it is
Bolt’s site says you create apps and websites by chatting, and that Bolt Cloud includes hosting, databases, user management, and custom domains so you are not stitching platforms together. You can also start from Figma or GitHub.
Older Bolt projects were often a Vite app plus a Supabase project you connected yourself. Newer ones may stay inside Bolt Cloud. The ship checklist is to identify which one you have before you copy advice written for the other.
Best for: Prototypes and small apps built entirely in the browser, including people who may never open a local IDE.

- Bolt Cloud and a bring-your-own Supabase setup are different architectures. Identify which you are on.

Fast, and the in-browser loop is the point. The failure mode is shipping Bolt Cloud defaults, or a connected Supabase, without looking. Env vars prefixed for Vite are public. Treat the share link as production if it has real data.
