Any builder that can push git or emit a static build can deploy here. Agent features are documented on the site. Secrets belong in the Netlify env UI, not in the repository.

What it is

Netlify’s site says you can start from a prompt, git, the CLI, or a drag-and-drop folder, and land on the same production infrastructure: a global CDN, deploy previews, serverless functions, and identity and data primitives.

It is a common host for static and Jamstack apps an AI tool exports. Forms, functions, and environment variables are the pieces to configure on purpose. A client-side secret is still a secret leak on Netlify.

Best for: A web app or marketing site that should deploy from git with a preview for every pull request.

Watch-outs

  • Build-time environment variables can be baked into the client bundle if the framework prefixes them.
  • Pricing: See site.

Our take

Opinion from ShipSafeStack. Not a score, not a certification, and not a sponsorship.

A solid alternative to Vercel, especially for sites that are mostly frontend plus a few functions. Read which identity and database features you turned on so you do not end up with two auth systems. Preview URLs need the same care as on any host.
