Supported builders
Native home for v0. Also the usual host for Next.js apps from Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, and Replit. Lovable and Bolt can export or connect if the project is not already hosted by the builder.
What it is
Vercel’s homepage describes infrastructure for shipping apps and agents: global delivery, preview environments, serverless functions, and a firewall, plus newer agent and sandbox features. For this directory, the everyday use is deploying the frontend and server routes of an AI-built app.
v0 deploys here by design. Cursor and Claude Code projects that are Next.js apps usually do too. Environment variables have a public prefix. Anything else must stay server-side. Preview deployments are often world-readable.
Best for: A Next.js or frontend app that wants preview URLs per branch and server functions without running a VM.
Watch-outs
- Preview URLs can leak an unfinished app. Protect them if they touch real data.
- Plan limits and commercial-use terms change. See site.
Our take
Opinion from ShipSafeStack. Not a score, not a certification, and not a sponsorship.
The boring, correct host for a Next.js app, which is what many of these builders emit. Turn on deployment protection for previews that contain real data. A preview URL is not a private staging server unless you make it one.
