Supported builders
Add the SDK in code from any of these builders. The DSN may be public. The auth token used to upload source maps must stay on the build machine, not in the client.
What it is
Sentry is the error-monitoring product teams add so a stack trace arrives when production throws. A plain fetch of sentry.io on 16 Oct 2026 returned an agent-oriented page pointing at docs.sentry.io and an MCP server, rather than the marketing homepage. The product those docs describe is still application monitoring.
The browser SDK is expected to ship a public DSN. That DSN is not a secret API key, but an unrestricted project can be spammed. Set allowed domains. Do not send passwords or tokens in the extra context the SDK records.
Best for: Knowing which exception real users hit, with a stack trace, after the app leaves the builder preview.
Watch-outs
- Source-map upload tokens are secrets. The DSN is not, and it can be abused if the project is wide open.
- Pricing: See site. The marketing homepage did not render for our fetch.
Our take
Opinion from ShipSafeStack. Not a score, not a certification, and not a sponsorship.
Add it before the first real user. Generated apps fail in ways the builder’s preview did not show. Scrub session data. A monitoring tool that records every header will store the secrets your app was already leaking.
